I have to head down this main street in my residential area to get to my neighborhood. The problem is these asshats don't want to yield to traffic thinking they must own the road in front of their crappy houses.
My car was full of wood for and I was driving easy...a freaking 4x4 comes flying out of his driveway in reverse about 10' in front of me and just stops. I have to slam my brakes and one of the boards slid through my hands. The corner hit my dash and made a 1/4" dimple in it (wide and deep)...
I was getting ready to get out of my car when the guy floors it again in reverse and peels out down another side street.
I get home and try to figure out how to fix it. I had used a heat gun to shrink vinyl in the past, but that may be too hot for my dash so I grabbed an old hair dryer.
In about 10 seconds the dimple was out and only a barely visible 1/8" line is there that looks just like the rest of the dash texture anyway.
Just an FYI and story in case anyone else craters their dash (or door panel I bet it would work on too).
