BTW, this was not a "trick" question asked by a foreign report speaking imperfect english- this was in a speech to the National Press Club!
IMO, if we take every mis-statement, or mistake uttered by a politician (of any sort) as a indication of stupidity, well, just guess how many "smart" politicians we'd have!
