Never saw it posted here before, but bought it for that price in the B&M in the mall early last year. It is fun and pretty neat. It work well for anyone who will dress as Darth Maul for Halloween as well. Good luck. Great post as usual JokerSmoker.

I know that there are two versions of the sabre.. is this the high quality one or the low quality one? I bought to crappy one a while back for 5 bones and when I dueled my friend in his obi-wan lightsabre the thing friggin broke after three classes..

As far as I know the two versions differed by the fact that one had the lights flash when there was enough contact to shake the saber, and the other had the advantage of withdrawing the "blades" (the other one couldn't do this). I got the former for a friend who was all giddy when Episode I first came out (got it at K-Mart for $30, heh). Nice but don't hit it against anything too hard...it ain't THAT strong! You'll get dents or bends.

I have 2 of these sabers - $7.44 at Target. It has a SERIOUS problem however, the 'reset' switch is right where one of your hands usually goes and you invariably turn off the f'in thing after a few quarter staff type spins. Still I do enjoy battling the kids with them, and you should see the looks I get from the neighbors...
