What level of DARPA rep? A long time ago I used to spend quite a bit of time with folks at the upper levels of DARPA (e.g., directors of project divisions) and they were not like that are all.

The office I was in was responsible for developing low observable (LO) technology for the Navy, as well as other military organizations. Lots of basic (6.1) and applied (6.2.) materials research projects. LO ships, tanks, planes, etc. Did a lot of work for DSO (Defense Sciences Office of DARPA) and ONR (Office of Naval Research).
