Who do you think will win, if anyone?

Main site with webcast tomarrow.

The teams

My vote is for Stanford.

Update:

Red Team Too and Stanford are in the lead with 97 miles behind them. check out the main page for live updates.

Update 2:

Stanford is in the lead, CMU follows. Looks like Stanford should win if all goes well...

Update 3: Stanford wins!

Update 4: Terramax is the 5th and final vehicle to finish.

Remember that part in Waterboy when Rob Schneider yells out, "We suck again!" I think that's going to be the end result this year.

Considering that some team's cars can easily navigate last year's course, I'm rather confident someone will win. But you never know...really cool anyways.

After reading the link, I gotta put my money on Carnegie Mellon. The Army has a cooperative arrangement with them, so there's likely some sharing on tech going on there, plus they came went the furthest last year.

This is the unmanned SUV thing, right? Coolest thing ever! I've been watching this since it's inception (I don't root for anyone...I just want the most capable, toughest vehicle to win :) )
I think this is really great; it combines the allure for the gearheads as well as the geeks; two formerlly, pretty much, incompatible teams. :)

These days though, cars are giant computers attached to IC engines, though.

Only 7 more miles

Final few miles is supposed to be a real "bot killer", so we'll see.. :D
Hmm, if you say so.:)
First to cross the finish line isn't necessarily the winner. Winner is based on time elapsed to complete the course. Staggered start I believe.

It made it though "Beer Bottle Pass" without falling off a cliff, its smooth sailing from there to the finish line.

Yep they're through, about 5 miles left for them. Time to weaponize this thing :)

Looks like the finish is going to be:

1. Stanford
2. Red Team
3. Red Team Too

They are trouncing all the other competitors.

It looks like 6 vehicles have a chance to finish...out of 23. I would love to be a part of something like this.
