ugh. As some know we took in my wife's 16 yr old sister. We have managed to get her a new bed set (my damn savings is shrinking to fast).

I had a bunch of computer parts in the basement. figured i would build her a computer so she can get homework etc done.

while sitting there trying to put one together my wife yells at me her computer froze. i go over and its dead.

it won't fire up nothing. i just swapped out the Video card 3 months ago. think the one i put in died.

wish i would have thought about how expensive it was going to be for me to take her in. a bedset, clothes, etc is killing me. i don't have the money for this (retired due to health got enough (hopefully) until i die (well not at this rate))

To top it off my wife got laid off from her job. ugh stress is going to kill me..heh

swear when it rains it pours.

Is it really the video card that's dead?

well the fans on the v-card is not going. also nothing is comeing up on the screen.

I don't have another v-card that fits the slot to really see if it is. i do know its NOT the monitor (checked it on my computer).

im just fucking stressed and frustrated.

though i am starting to feel better. i sure was stressed for a while. but finding the old computer in the basement and the fact it worked (found some old papers i wrote for highschool/college heh) just put me in a good mood.
