So what exactly is Darkspore? I understand that it's a game, but what kind of gameplay can one expect?

i keep getting a corrupted file from the patcher it seems. When I try to extract it through winrar it says "unexpected end of archive". happened 3 times now. im giving up
 
Seems okay. The level design is fairly poor though, very bland, and I would prefer that your view was from further back.

This game is kind of weird and not very interesting. Despite the depth of "hero" selection that appears to be available, everything just looks and feels fairly bland and pointless. I think it would have been more interesting to start your journey like in spore and control a single hero as you customize, modify and upgrade him. Unlocking prebuilt models and tacking on uninspired components just isn't that interesting.
