Just picked up a X8 Sidewinder after my Logitech Dual Optical died after 10+ years of use maybe more...bought it when it came out and it was perfect.
I had an Xtrac Pro mouse pad and while the X8 didn't show any of the skipping on a cloth pad people mentioned, it's so much better on my desktop. I tried with my logitech DO, but it didn't work. Now it's perfect.
