Hello,

I have got a paint shop pro image in .psp format. there is this image in raster format (outlines of cars and captured cursive texts) which are in shades of purple. is it possible to change this image to shades of blue, or preferably darkers shades of bluw.

What i would like to do is add black colour uniformly through the image (to each pixel) and get a darker image.

Add a layer, paint it black and change it's transparency to what you think you need. When you get there, merge them. That will darken each pixel, but there are other ways to do what you want.
ow about Colors>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast?
How about Gamma Correction?
How about Hue/Saturation/Lightness?

thanks for the reply,

when you mean add a layer, you mean add a copy of the layer with the car and captured cursive texts in the changed color (black)
and then change the transparency.

i tried gamma correction and it darkened some of the pixels but not all, the problem

i tried this as well Hue saturation
Hue ? 180, Saturation -100, Histogram adjustment @ -25 but it took out the finer details, the pixels which had a bit of colour seem to be replaced by white pixels and some of the dark colors were accentuated.

No, Add a layer over what you want to darken. Then paint that layer black. Then adjust that layers transparency.

thanks for the reply,

some one at work suggested change the hue and saturation and that worked a treat.
