Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin

I've only played vanilla Dark Souls 2. Crazy if it allows six player co-op, that's obscene. I'm pretty sure vanilla only allowed two cooperators in addition to yourself.

IMO, Dark Souls/Dark Souls 2/Bloodborne are pretty similar in terms of difficulty (never played Demon's Souls). Obviously, the FIRST game you play in the series will FEEL harder, since a lot of the stuff you learn the first time carries over to the next game, but beyond that they're all pretty similar.

It is very similar. It's the same developer. Great game.

I haven't played the expansion content, but I have a couple hundred hours into Dark Souls 2 and a lot more in other other series.

If you liked Bloodborne, I would assume you'll like these.

I've played all of the Souls games and Bloodborne. IMO Dark Souls 2 is the weakest of the bunch. Its combat is different from that of Bloodborne. The pacing is much slower and there are some big differences like dodging ability bound on a stat etc. I played it once and then went back to the original Dark Souls.

I've played all of them too and I'll agree that Dark Souls 2 is weaker than BB and Demon's Souls and Dark Souls but I think it's still worth playing. It's like the original Star Wars trilogy, some people like Empire over Return, but most everyone can agree they're all really good.

I played the original DS2 quite a bit when it came out and picked up SotFS and I'm happy I did. There are enough changes to where, in my opinion, it feels fresh and fun again. Granted I still haven't beaten this version cause I got distracted with Dying Light but I plan to go back soon.

I really need a challenging game in my life...I think DS2 could fit the bill on my new Xbone!
