Actually from a stand point of racism who cares what color, BUT from a historical stand point of a CORRECT interpretation into who Santa was, and where this came from, then of course he has to be white, because that is who the real person is.

This has nothing to do with what we like, or dislike, it's about Factual Historical Accuracy that is all, so let's get this straight!

So if you don't care about being historically accurate, then who cares, but if you do, then he's white, that's all there is to it.
