I feel like a fool, last night at the hockey rink I got my skates on, my leg guards, and was waiting to play when I realized that a DVD I brought for one of my friends was still on the front seat of my car. He was playing before my game so he wouldnt be there when I finished. I'm not to surefooted on rough surfaces with my rollerblades, just smooth flat surfaces... so I walk out to the lot, and wouldnt you know it, I lose my balance and fall.

Somehow my foot ended straight up under a car with my leg turned a bit too far inwards... It didnt really hurt at first, more my pride was shot, and I played the game without issue, but this morning I could barely walk. It's feeling better now, but dang. It's not like I can say "yeah, I was skatin' really hard for the puck and some guy dumped me." I have to tell people "Yeah, I clutzed it in the parking lot."

The muscle that is in pain, is towards the inner side of my right leg, about 2 inches south of my knee. Anyone know what that muscle is?

That's why you say "I injured it rollerblading, but I played the whole game out with it injured"

Probably just a slightly strained tendon, give it a week and it should be fine, otherwise see a doctor.

Oh, and ... <Nelson> Ha-Ha! </Nelson>

I'd like to give it a week, too bad our season is in make-up mode and I've got 3 more games in the next 5 days (tonight, monday and tuesday) I hope I dont strain it more... Not playing right now is not an option... we're already playing with only 2 changes, and for the next three games, we'll be missing one of those.

they're called shin guards. ;)

BTW, do you play on asphalt or sportcourt ? Rough surfaces kill your indoor wheels... don't try that at home.

No they're not. Shin Guards are what I wore when I played soccer back in the day... These cover my knee as well as my shin :)

We play on sportcourt.

Lie and say you were hacked while taking a shot but you still scored and it ended up being the game winner. If you think stories you hear from other people are all truth, you're only lying to yourself. Join in
