Pretty sad, he was a very good senator. One of this century's best.

That's too bad. Didn't always agree with him, but he was a native of my hometown(Tulsa, Ok) and was by all accounts a good man.

He was a true statesman with a sharp wit, powerful intellect, and eloquent tone that were reminiscent of eras gone-by. Moynihan's unique brand of neoconservatism rejected blindly following the unidirectional compass of many liberal party members in favor of judging issues and vexing problems on their own merits. Pursuit of truth and fairness was Moynihan's ideology.

RIP Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
