IMO, Danica will most likely ride the publicity wave into the obscurity of "also rans" of the IRL circuit.

She gets bonus points for admitting she uses the 'first woman' phenomena as an advantage rather than taking a staunch 'I only wish to be judged by my on track performance' stance.

In doing so, in the event of a less than stellar racing career, she has left the door open for many money making opportunities that may have otherwise been closed by the court of public opinion.

Meanwhile the IRL is reaping the benefits of a surge of interest.
 
i didnt even know what she looked like before I saw her in the lead at the INDY 500. My uncle turned it on and said, hey, the chick racer is winning. I was just like, WTF? Then I stepped back and said to myself, Damn, thats an accomplishment. I thought it was hilarious that all these guys were having to catch up to some girl in what is probably the most prestigious race in the world. Then I saw that she was actually cute and wasnt a total beyatch. When they first interviewed her after the race, when she was pulling her helmet off, my heart totally went out to her for what she did and how she couldnt quite hang on to the lead. The disappointment on her face, just seemed totally authentic. Then I saw she was cute. Then it call came to together and I thought to myself, she's my hero for the day, and the first hero I'd like to make love to.

Its not her body or looks thats hot, its what she is and does that makes her hot. Adorable. Absolutely adorable. me= new danica fanboy

She sounded fine in the post-race interview and on Letterman. Did ESPN do their own interview or was it a clip from somewhere ?

Not great, but people like chicks who "do something", so that's why some prefer her over far hotter chicks. I think she's forgettable, and this is some stupid fad, like anna K, even though anna k is much hotter.

Did you see her Letterman interview (it's on the ATOT FTP)... she's actually pretty lean - you can see it cause she's wearing no-sleeves and a skirt. Her face is like any other's... made up. Anyway, the point is, the airbrushing doesn't really improve on any of her faults.
