Dangit! Someone stole my propane tank!!

I have one of those large round propane tanks that fuels a manufactured home on my country property. I haven't been out there in 3 weeks and listed the place for sale. I go back over the weekend and the propane tank is gone. Just taken. Fukk!
 
Propane tanks should have explosive charges with remore detonators installed inisde them. You might not be able to see the ownage, but you would know that somewhere somebody got theirs.
 
I asked the neighbor if he saw anything. He said, he went out there one day, looked over and noticed it was just gone. Then he tells me that one time, 4 guys tried to steal the other neighbor's palm tree. He spotted them digging around the tree, they had a truck ready and everything. He called the neighbor and they went out there to see what was going on. The neighbor told those guys to leave because the cops were coming and they all left.

I've never bought one before. It came with the property when I bought it. But my neighbor says he rents his and it costs him about $80/year. Fillup is separate.

Don't know about the OP. But I pay nothing for the tank - the propane company owns it. To fill, 330 gallons x 1.86/gallon last time I checked = 613.80 if it was empty.

I think I'll just rent one from now on. I better just check on their policy regarding theft though. I don't want to have to end up paying them for a tank later on.
