Nice vocals and fiddling, too bad they make boring bland pop instead of mixing in more Celtic goodness.

They sometimes do Celtic goodness. I remember they did "Haste to the Wedding" on SNL. But of course, they then segued to "So Young." (I think)

For real Celtic music, who do you recommend? I think Loreena Mckennitt, but she's more with the Middle Eastern genre or New Age genre now. (like Enya)

Here are a few of my Celtic faves, be warned I like the gloomy celtic a lot more than the pub songs.

(Irish)
Clannad (Clannad Live, Magical Ring, Macalla)
Altan (Red Crow, Best Of)
Joemy Wilson (Carolan's Cup, Carolan's Cottege, Celtic Dreams -- great acoustic small-group instrumental CDs)
Old Blind Dogs (New Tricks)

(Scottish)
Tannahill Weavers (Capernaum)

Bonus English folk, a bit different from what you think of as Celtic but some of the same roots.
Fairport Convention (Liege and Lief)
June Tabor (Against the Streams)
Richard Thompson (Henry the Human Fly)

Also, pretty much everything on the Green Linnet label is worth a listen (www.greenlinnet.com)

What about Eric Bogle? He's more folk, but I consider the song "And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" to be the best anti-war song ever.

Don't know much about the Corrs. But from their website and what I've seen on the internet about them, it seems that they are a very approachable band. And that's saying something these days.
