So I have been having some weird problems with my Hitachi SATA drives. They have not been getting along with my Shuttle AN50R. It might be the drives or the onboard SI3112r sata controller, but that is a long and different story, but with all my fiddling opening up my case and swapping cables and what not. I must have put a little to much pressure on my whitewater waterblock because the stupid poly top cracked and leaked. Of course I did not notice the leak until I was busy working on my computer and my display suddenly pixelated and then totally out seconds later. So I quickly powered down and opened my case up to find some water on my 9800 PRO. It also penetrated inside the AGP slot. So I cleaned everything up and an letting it dry while I wait for my aluminum top to show up. Hopefully everything is okay. I was thinking of getting a nForce3 250 board anyway, but I was hoping my 9800 PRO would last me at least another year.

Same thing happened to me once... I used a vacuum cleaner, and ran the nozzle very close to the AGP slot and base. I did the same to the video card. After that, I let them sit overnight before testing.

In my case everything worked... :)

Good luck...

damn pump sprung a leak on me once cuz i overtighted it. while refilling the system i ended up spilling water down the hd's. much much much blow drying, preying and hoping later, things were happy. just goes to show that while wc'ing may be neat, it's not always fun. oh, and for the love of whomever, get a huge case if you want to WC. /me laments.

So, after much despair, it turns out that everything is okay. I cleaned everything up and dried it completely. Put all my air cooling on to test while I wait for my new waterblock top and everything fired up just fine. Thankfully!
