Last night 5 of us went out dancing for my birthday. I have never danced so much in my life. I had a great time!! :) The only bad thing was.....OUCH! My whole body hurts now. lol I guess that with a bad back and knees maybe I shouldn't have danced that much. lol But it was all worth it. :D

Remember, no pain no brain. Or was it no pain no gain? Either way, if it doesn't hurt you're doin it wrong. :)

Okay. Next weekend if any of us have any money--and I'm all recovered lol--we want to go out again. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. :Q

Where did you go? What kind of music/dancing? Happy belated birthday! I think the longest I've ever danced was 10 hours straight... in Sound Factory in NYC, from 11PM to almost 9AM. Walking out of a dark club and being blinded by the morning/afternoon sunlight is one of the most surreal experiences... :)

Belated happy birthday:) As for your back pain and knee pain...I'm not a doctor, so take this with a grain of salt;) I used to have bad knees (they used to crack a lot). But I started lifting weights, including strength training exercises for my legs and the muscle has seemed to alleviate the pressure on the actual knee joints. I used to get these aching pains in my knees from playing sports like basketball, but when I don't get those any more.

I've also read in Men's Health that working out your abdominal muscles helps to relieve stress on the back because the abs help keep you upright.

I know a lot of girls think lifting weights is weird but you can do it so you don't bulk up but just tone up.

Anyways...back to working out (guess that's why I suggested this!);)

Now, if I was only a good dancer maybe I could feel how much pain you're in;)

With having bad knees and a bad back even the thought of dancing 10 hours straight hurts! lol It was kind of hip-hop/top 40's music. Before we got there it was country. Needless to say, none of us are country music buffs but we only had to wait about half an hour before the other music came on.

I think I was able to dance as long as I did because of good ole alcohol. I didn't drink much, but right when we got there my cousin's wife ordered us three women a Kamikaze(SP?). Then I had some sips of thier Long Island Iced Tea and Berry Daquiri. It was when it started to wear off that I was like....uh oh...I'm not gonna be able to walk tomorrow! LOL

EDIT: Your birthday wishes aren't belated! My birthday is tomorrow. So...thank you all!!!!

Hahaha, hzl, sounds like the club I went to tonight. They played all this country music, and me and the people I came with kind of sat down and were like "oooookaaay" and then the real mnusic came back on. :)

When we first got there most of the people we line dancing. That looks kind of cool. I would like to learn how. I just don't like country music though, so... *Shrug* I dunno. lol I'm hoping to keep up with the dancing...maybe I'll lose a few unwanted pounds. Heehee
