Man stabbed after finding out he danced with cross-dresser

A man who confronted his dance partner after finding out he had been boogeying with a transvestite wound up being stabbed and critically injured, Shreveport police said.

Ronald Jones was stabbed in the neck with a pocketknife early Thursday outside Twin Eagles lounge on Texas Street.

Police said Jones thought he had been dancing with a person but friends started teasing him about being with a transvestite. Jones later followed the dance partner and another person outside and wound up being stabbed during an ensuing fight, police said.

No charges were filed against the stabber. Police concluded he acted in self-defense.
