Dance Dance Revolution...

I was thinking about trying out this game Dance Dance Revolution for cardio ontop of the gym, summers coming...

I have an Xbox, and want to get everything necessary to play this game.

Can anyone help me out if you have the system for it or can point me in the right direction to getting a good "pad" (?) that I can easily roll away and store, but isn't cheaply made.

Thanks
Don R.

If you get serious about the game, you'll quickly realize that not having the pad mounted to something will let it move around on the ground, ruining the game. I just bought some plywood and stapled it down to make sure it doesn't shuffle around the floor while you're moving around on it.

As for which pads to get...depends on your budget. Red Octane's one of the standards, but there are plenty to choose from on eBay.

The RO Ignition version 3 pads suck.

You could get the one with the 1 inch thick foam pads, which Never move around in my case, they're quite a good investment too, since they're like 1/2-1/3 the price of a metal Red Octane

just get some cheap pads and mount them to a piece of plywodd. A little plastic wrap will do jsut fine

You will be okay with pretty much any pad until you progress to the more difficult heavy songs. From there you can choose either to invest in a better pad, or be limited by the cheap pad.

When you're first starting off the quality of the pad will really not make that much of a difference.
