The timing of that move was pretty interesting. There could be a possibility that there was some bad blood between Vick and Reeves.

Damn, not like this is any real surprise but before the season is over? I'm trying to think and I can't remember the last time a NFL coach got yanked before the season was over.

Hmm, he had quite the long career as a coach. Never won the big one though.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with Vick.

I am pretty sure that Dan and Arthur Blank got together to discuss the future of the franchise and Mr. Blank made it abundantly clear that Dan would not be a part of it as a head coach after this season.

Everyone in Atlanta knew that he was going to get the ax after the end of the year. I am not sure exactly why it took place now as opposed to then, but it could have something to do with the candidates they have in mind.

Bobby Ross got the boot from the Lions in the middle of the year not too long ago.

Also, I think Bruce Coslett resigned three games into the season in 2000.
