"A crew for Dan Rather was harassed and humiliated by Israeli security officials, a producer for his show has said, accusing them of forcing the staffers to drop their pants for a strip search before seeing a Cabinet minister."

"Mr. Rather said that in his career, he had never seen a crew forced to strip prior to an interview — including the one he conducted with Saddam Hussein," Glazer wrote."

ruh-oh. i think Dan Rather just ruined his career with that blanket anti-semitic statement. so long Danno, you'll be Gibson'd soon enough :'(

welcome to everyday life as Pali, Danno!

Gotta love the Israeli position, "The new director of Israel's Government Press Office, Oren Helman, has vowed to usher in a new era of cordial relations with the hundreds of foreign journalists based in Israel. His pledges have not filtered down to the security agents who inspect journalists before entering official events with top officials."

But how is this any different from the naked truth of our previous GWB President. You are either with us or against us, its our way or the highway.

Funny thing, that shit always backfires, but for the powers that be, their power that be its always inspires.

Bottom line, pissing off the the third estate is seldom ever wise. But for a fool like Bozo Netanyuhu, he recons he showed Dan Rather a thing or two.

Criticism of Israel is anti-semitism. Dan Rather is clearly a Nazi.

Serves him right for his unwarranted attacks on George Bush.

California leads the way for auto emissions, and the Israelis lead the way in security. If I were Dan I'd consider keeping a nice cool soothing ointment on me from now on.

Reporters should not get any more special treatment than a postal worker, you can never be too safe.

If the security team does this to every reporter, then what's the big deal, you can't cry foul on that.

Mainly just shows what a slimeball paranoid government they have to have to get away with the shit they do.

I don't see the problem here really. They wanted the interview, they should comply with the procedures. No one owes them shit.

Amazing what a little offhand joke can trigger.

We see the same here in the US around the TSA.

Airports in the US are pretty strict too from what I gathered, though I personally don't fly...

This is serious! If they'll do this to Dan Rather, they could one day do this to journalists.
