damping case sound

May I suggest another case.

Check this and maybe solve your problem.

you know pkme2, as much as we know that you love Lian Li, if he said that sound foam is expensive, suggesting he buy a $210 case is not appropiate.

there are things you can do to isolate the source of the noise. try stopping various fans to find the noisy one. then replace it with a quiter one. pkme2 will suggest yate loon fans. you can replace your PSU with a one that has a 120mm fan. those are usually quiter.

Acoustic foam doesn't do all that much more than simple mass damping ime.

If you want a really quiet case then get a wooden box, stick fiberglass insulation around the outside of it and put the computer in the middle. Duct intake and exhausts (baffled if you can be bothered) through the box and voila, near silence. Not even that expensive either.

The problem with sound dampening material is that in an aluminum case, it doesn't allow for heat disapation. It can actually cause heating problems as it negates the qualities of aluminum.
