I notice a lot of series are doing that now to keep viewership over the whole season. I think I'm at the point where I am cutting off the satellite, and will just rent the series' seasons that I want to watch and watch them at my leisure.

they are doing it cause they started the show in September. THey need to make a 24 episode season go from September to May ... that's 24 episodes in about 36 weeks. It makes sense that they have these breaks.

Whereas 24 starts in Late January and ends in May ... that's about 17 - 18 weeks for 24 episodes, which is why you have seen them show back to back episodes 3 nights in a row arleady, 2 of those nights being back to back (first week = 4 episodes).

Sure it sucks big time, but it makes sense as to why they actually do it. Me personally, I'd rather wait for LOST to air it's new season 4 months later so we don't have to have these gaps than the way they are currently doing it.

I like how 24 works. Wait until January and then, non-stop. I hate cliffhangers with breaks.

just go stare at an image of an island, about the same plot advancement of any given episode of lost.

I agree, I hate these breaks. They took one really big break there for three freaking weeks.

yep, the breaks get old. how are we supposed to keep up with all the story lines when there is so much of a gap. Then the reruns usually show an episode from first season with people who are no longer in the cast.

Good...I'll be out. :D Although, the season premiere of Alias would be nice to watch too.

It doesn't take any more breaks than other series. They do 24 episodes per season. That's 24 weeks with a new episode and 28 weeks without one, the same as '24' and the same as 'ER'. In fact Lost takes fewer breaks than many other dramas. CSI only does 23 episodes per season and House does 22.

Bah I'm too f'in busy anyway to watch it. I do agree they should schedule their shows like '24' though and wait until later to start so there isn't large breaks.

Tuesday nights at 8pm CST Good show, I watch that right after NCIS.

I'm glad to see the last episodes of Alias, Jennifer Garner is pretty hot if you ignore the abnormally large ears and the semi square jaw.
