This was supposed to be a christmas gift for a friend of mine.

You'd think you could trust a member with 100% positive feedback and 1000+ ratings when they list it as "Brand New - Sealed - Original DVD"

Sure, it's a brand new, sealed, original dvd that they burnt themselves!

Can someone please tell me where to get legitimate Bollywood movies in North America...

That's like asking where to get legitimate Arabic CDs. If they exist, they make up 1% of all the Arabic CDs you'll find, and often cost a lot more. Same goes for Bollywood movies.

EDIT: Dig around for local Indian or Pakistani stores. The store I go to in Tampa has a huge wall with a bunch of DVDs on it.
