Damned mozilla!!!

Okay wtf? I ran mozilla with no problems up until tonight. I decided to try phoenix, so I got and installed that. All of the dialog boxes in phoenix would be bigger than my desktop screen (1600x1200) and it was very difficult to see anything. So I tried changing it in the preferences by tools/preferences and when the preferences window came up, same thing.

I figure, okay, fine... Mozilla is good anyways, so I delete phoenix. I go to open up mozilla, and the back/forward/refresh/stop buttons take up the entire damn screen.

I can minimize the button toolbar, but I really want to be able to use those buttons. I figure okay, let's see what edit/preferences can do for me. Guess what? Now my mozilla preferences window looks exactly like my phoenix preferences window. I can't do anything with it. What's more, any new popup (download screen, config, whatever) looks the same. It never did this before.

So fine, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot. Same crap.

Alright then. Uninstall, reg clean everything having anything to do with mozilla, delete my mozilla folder in my settings/application data folder, reboot, reinstall. Same BS.

Okay, how's about a full out system restore to the 24th? Well, apparently System Restore chooses now to crap out on me. It says it can't restore to that day and nothing has been changed... WTF? Okay, let's try the point before... the 23rd... No dice there either.

Why oh why???

When you installed Phoenix, I think it overwrote your Mozilla preferences. I think you were supposed to point your Phoenix settings to another folder, separate from Mozilla's.

Did you try deleting your programfiles/mozilla folder? after the uninstall?

Yeah, I did all that. There wasn't a single trace of anything mozilla on this computer... Same with phoenix.

Okay, now this is messed. It now works part of the time... The preferences window is still fuct, but the buttons are normal.

I think I'm gonna chalk this one up to computer PMS and see how she acts in the morning...
