I keep getting kitty pawprints on the hood of my car and I have no idea how they're getting there because I always park in my garage. It's driving me nuts cuz I'll wash my car and a day later i'll have all these kitty prints everywhere. Now before anyone tells me how cute it is, I DON'T WANT KITTY SCRATCHING UP MY PAINT JOB ARRGGH! It pissed me off so bad I considered getting a BB gun and putting the damned strays out of their misery, but then common sense came back to me after I cooled down.

IS THERE ANY FREAKING WAY to keep the cats away from my house??? THeir are like 4 or 5 stray cats that hang around the neighborhood.... someone stop me from pelting them with rocks!!

Why don't you just check your garage for any holes that a cat could come through instead of shooting them (which is against the law, by the way).

And if your car wasn't so dusty the cat's feet wouldn't leave such nice paw prints

Fill a small glass jar with water and put it where the prints keep appearing I had the same problem and it solved it, but I have no idea where I heard it from or why it works.

Go to petsmart and get some of that sour apple stuff that keeps dogs and cats from chewing/scratching up furniture. You put on a light coat on your car, so little that humans cannot smell it. Cats have more sensitive noses than humans and will smell the sour apple, which is the same as a human smelling a skunk. They stay away, no bloodshed required. Total cost to you: appx. $3 for a small bottle which should keep you for ~6 months. A large bottle will keep you for 2 years and will cost ~ $8

If thats all that happens your lucky. I had a cat climb under my hood of my truck and went to sleep..warmth I guess. Well I didn't know it was there so I started my truck and started to back out of the drive way and I hear all this knocking under my hood. Well I keyed off and opened the hood and a cat went flying out and down the street. There was all kinds of skin and hair around by backward turned fan belts. Amazing mess and the cat somehow survived. Must have spun around on the belts till I keyed off:(:Q

man that's horrible! how does a cat get under the hood though? isn't the crack like half a centimeter or something?

irrelevant, but i believe he is talking about prints left by the cat. as in the cat's paws are dirty...

cats do sometimes crawl into gaps under big trucks because its warm:p

don't think they can really do that for a car.

Oh they can, they just don't get out in one piece like they do for trucks, sometimes...

Yea for some unknown reason if you put like gallons of milk filled with water the cats stay away. Believe me I am the butt of all the jokes when my friends come over and they see milk gallons filled with water on the lawn, but it works for some unknown reason.

Hey I just read about that too searching google.... I guess its the way that the water reflects certain lights through it so you have to do it in an area that is lit. I'll give that a shot and if I still see paw prints I'm going to try the apple stuff.... THANKS GUYS!
