Damn

Well, it looks like the fiance's car is finally dying. Gah, I hate car shopping. At least she'll be able to finance through the University employees credit union. For those of you wondering, it is/was an 80's Chrysler LeBaron (yes, it's a POS but it was free).

how is it dying?

Dogg

It's got a nasty oil leak and it has electrical problems that have already been bypassed/jury-rigged once already. To fix the problems is to sink more money into the car than it's worth.

Haha, same thing Adul is driving. Reminds me of the day we were carpooling and he decided to take the 'scenic' route home from work. Well, at 11-12pm, south Phoenix is NOT scenic, especially when the lower radiator hose springs a leak and causes us to have to stop. After hiking down the street (couple miles maybe), dealing with Cleatus at the AutoZone, and finally calling a friend to bail us out, we got out of that place. Luckily, we broke down right next to a strip club. 😀

what do people do with cars that is like that?? trade it in to a junkyard??

I'm hoping to get at least a couple hundred bucks on trade-in.

Currently looking at Honda, Nissan, & Saturn.

Nissan Nissan Nissan! (May I recommend the almighty SE-R?)

Are Nissan's still having that reliability problem?

I have yet to ever have something go wrong with any Nissan i've owned, although i've owned four new cars in the last four years, so the 02 Sentra GXE was only with me for 30k miles, and my SE-R has only been with me for a hair over 3000 miles. Either way, I love them! Honda was good too. Had an 00 Civic (big mistake for financial reasons) and an 01 Civic, both were just as reliable as I expected. I guess You might wanna ask Skoorb about the reliability thing now that i think about it. He's had some Nissan's for a few years.

Edit: Don't ask. Yes, I am in debt up to my ears. =)
