damn you verizon.

i have a plan for my father for 400 minutes a month and he only averages like 300 a month. last month he goes over by about 300 minutes = about $130.

normal bill 42 (with taxes and stuff)
last month's bill $180

time to switch him to sprint i guess.

How's that Verzon's fault? You paid for a specific plan, knowing full well there was a .45 cent overage and you went over double it.

I just bought a Verizon phone and policy last night, and the.45cent overage notices on those plans are clearly visible when you order the phone/plan.

Seriously. Unless you want Sprint because of Fair & Flexible.

Sprint customer service sucks, btw. I tried very hard to stay with them and purchase a new phone, but they made it impossible.

I've had them for 4 years. Only one rep gave me any trouble (and it wasn't necessarily their fault).

Don't get Sprint...at least until it's merger with Nextel is complete. I reccomend staying with Verizon and increasing his plan, or telling him to keep under his monthly coverage...or switching to Nextel (what I have).

I can vouch for their horrid CS. Not only are they slow, they billed me incorrectly 3 different times in the 2 years I've had them. That's not a good percentage. And I'm supposed to get the good agents as a corp customer.

I'll give them credit for adding a cell tower in my area though... at least they're trying to improve on other fronts... too bad I switched to VZW and won't look back.

I don't follow your first bit advice. The systems won't merge until about '07.

with some of your posts, i swear you want to be mocked.

everyone and their mother understand there are overage charges. your dad is not an exception. if he goes over, the bill will be expensive.

if you want a plan with a ton of minutes, get him t-mobile.

Eh...only 2 years away. Most cell phone plans last 1-2 years anyway.

We called them up to order new phones, they said they couldn't help us and that we need to go to a store. We go to the store and sit there for 45 minutes and not one employee helps us. Good thing I jumped on the T-mobile deal from Amazon.

Yeah, the stores definitely get swamped. I go early in the morning if I have to (firmware updates, etc.) I bought my last phone from BB.

The best part was the man who was screaming to someone in Spanish the entire time I was there. Or perhaps the woman who was complaining that her phone was garbage and demanded an exchange... 2 years after she bought it and without a receipt, or maybe the woman who didn't realize that surfing the web was not free.

not the first time gettin owned either, it seems like I am asking for it in eveything i do.

I was just venting. My plan on verizon has overages of .35 a minute. This just sucks major balls.

At least your dad doesn't make that many calls and then complains saying Verizon is lying and he didn't make those calls.

you went over by 300 minutes... not even fair and flexible will do... doesn't it only cover you for 100 minutes? Still.... you knew exactly what you had... or did you not read your plan?

Fair and Flexible works up to something like 800 minuts or something. I glanced over it once and decided my current plan was better.
