Damn you, Michael Moore...

he's making me want to move to Canada. It seems so much less f*cked up than the states.

<-- watching Bowling for Columbine.

Is Canada really that much of a pacifistic utopia? I think Mr. Moore is an extremist left-wing nutjob so I don't believe a word he says, but Canada really does seem as a whole much more hospitable than the US.

Mike Moore is just wasting O2 that a crack addicted child molester could be breathing.

Indeed. Fvck Michael Moore, fvck anyone who admires/likes him.

Agreed.

But I was asking about Canada. I think I'll ask the g/f if she wants to move to Toronto with me. 🙂

Anyone else amused he shows up at Borders for book signings of "Dude, Where's My Country?" and going on cross-country publicity tours in pure capitalist stylings?

He's just another pawn filling a market.

yes, I cannot believe that documentary won any awards. I thought documentaries were based on truth and hardly any is spoken by Moore.

Most of his stats are way off.

Ask about any of his arguments, most if not all are his manipulations and good editing skills.

Everything he does in there about Canada is set up, all the walking in houses and whatnot. 98% of Bowling for Columbine is set up. Canada blows 😛.

Just kidding, I don't really have anything against Canadia.

Canada is an awesome place, but like any other country as its own positives and negatives.

Move to Canada? Depends on how liberal your state is. Moving form connecticut or new york or some other liberal state, you probably won't find too much difference. If you're moving from the bible belt, then yes, canada would be a Utopia (provided you don't go to our redneck-like provinces)

yeah canada's great if you want to wait 6 months for the flu to see your "universal health care plan" doctor. Trust me Canada is far from perfect.

I haven't heard about anyone from Canada complaining about the socialized health care.

The only people I hear bitching about it are people who've never been to the country. 😕

Six months of living in South Carolina has made me dream of living in Canada.
I'm so tired of being surrounded by mullet sporting rednecks that I could puke.
Not to mention almost everyone I've met down here is an ass. I went to McDonalds yesterday with my wife (shooting for Monopoly pieces), we went in to get the food and brought it home. When we took the food out of the bag, we noticed that the pieces had been taken of ALL of the items in the bag.
Yay for us.

I dunno, I find the american health care system wierd. Paying thousands of dollars for a hospital visit, paying to go see the doctor. That's just ... I dunno

I'm sure they're just as biased as he is. The whole trick to politics and whatnot is to not take ANYONEs word as truth, because they're all biased and have their own motives.

But as far as Canada goes, I've wanted to move either there or to Europe for a while. I'm really not digging the direction the US is taking. Hopefully when I go through school, I'll get a chance to travel and check some other countries out.

I've only been to Canada (Toronto) once (long time ago), but most people I've met from there seem like reasonably intelligent and nice people. I've been various places in the South and invariably there is a significant minority of people who treat me with unprovoked hostility and suspicion just because I look like an outsider (even though I've lived here all my life). I feel like the tension is less the further north I go, or in cities like Orlando or Atlanta.
