I got sent home from work 'cause the creek across our street was headed into our building.

Come home to find water flooding into my kitchen.

Damn, damn, damn.

I think I like being well out of the way of hurricanes.

Jeeez, and you're in Pittsburg. I'm a ways away, but pretty much directly East at the moment (King of Prussia). Looks like we're gonna get hit any minute. Should be a fun drive home.

It blew over a bunch of crap in my yard and I am 350 miles from the beach where it made land fall. Speaking of that, me and the wife were giong to go there for an aniiversary getaway. I doubt they will be honoring our reservations. Damn that was some storm, I feel sorry for those down in the Gulf Shores and Pensacola.

Yup, you're in for quite the ride.

I'm actually in Canonsburg, I work in Pittsburgh.

Had we stayed much longer we wouldn't have made it out of the parking lot. 5 minutes from barely touching the road to completely across the road & into our parking lot.

Right now I'm debating trying to make a run to the store. Probably shouldn't, but it might be entertaining.

In pittsburgh here too. The road outside our building is flooding pretty bad. For the last hour, everyone's just been looking out the window at the poor fellows trying to drive through it.

King of Prussia eh, I go there a lot (mall and Bestbuy usually), but anyway, there's no rain here, yet.

Well it also looks like you live in the same town as I do, (Philly). What a coinkidink. Moving out to KOP in January though, (right behind the mall).

Live in Philly? No. Born there? Yep.

I just list Philadelphia because no one's heard of Glenside. ;)

I did.

And after this I may just go back. Hurricanes are much better from 3K miles away.

Oh, and we're not really threadjacking, just keeping the thread bumped till Viper gets back with some pics. I wanna see what our region is getting into.

Most of the people here are trying to strategize getting home. Bunch live up north in the Cranberry area and can't get home due to closed roads. I know I have a few closures to deal with, not going to be a fun commute. Hopefully everyone else will already be home by the time I leave here (work in Greentree, live in the south hills). Of course, if water starts approaching our building, time to build an ark......
