I want to install them and play halflife2ep2 (haven't played in [ at least] 4 months]

and it is just sitting there...found myself watching TV and such....

I mean I did get home around 9pm but still..

Quit whining and start playing! Except change hl2ep2 to tf2. That is probably your problem.
