No matter how much I shake these little bastards, they are never well mixed when I open then, so I have to mix them up with my spoon

but no matter how much I mix and stir with my spoon, there is always a ton of fruit left at the bottom.

here's an idea: Fruit on the TOP

does this have something to do with yogurt coming in those stupid upsize-down containers?

you're a weirdo for shaking your fruit on the bottom yogurt cup.

normal people use a spoon for mixing.

I used to eat all the yogurt first, and then the fruit all at once after I ate the yogurt.

edit: And why the hell do you shake it? Just mix it with your spoon like you are supposed to.

Fruit on the top would be too liquid, and much easier to slop. I usually only eat yoghurt That doesn't have chunks. Lemon, coffee, vanilla... My favorite lately is plain Greek yoghurt with my own honey added.

is the quality of the fruit or the yogurt any different from regular mixed up yogurt?

what do you mean by regular mixed up yogurt? i've only ever seen two types of yogurt:

fruit on the bottom
creamy/custard style where the fruit is processed - no chunks

They have some that are premixed(or used to anyway) that have small fruit chunks. It's somewhere between custard and stir styles for granularity.

they used to have chunks of strawberry in the strawberry yogurt.

i haven't bought anything other than plain yogurt in years so maybe they've changed it.

IIRC, the blended yogurts have an emulsifier added to help keep the fruit suspended in the yogurt. The emulsifier changes the texture.
