Damn you Fedex. If you have it on the truck, deliver it for christ's sake!!

Bastards at FedEx. I was at work the entire time it was on the truck, and work was where it was coming to. I even saw a FedEx Express truck go by earlier this morning, although it could've been a different one. So the guy gets back at 1-something in the afternoon, and figured my little ass box coming from Newegg was too big of a bother to deliver a day earlier than what is listed on the box.

I hate FedEx sometimes, but I guess I can wait one more day.

/rant

UPDATE: I check the status of the package, to make sure it is indeed on the truck today to be delivered, and it shows it's already been delivered. What the hell? I got to work this morning at 8:52, was the only one here at 8:55, and no package. To beat it all, there's only 8 people that work here, and none of them have the name J. Walker.

Keep in mind this is no less than the 3rd time this has happened to me in the past year. So I called them up, bitched to the lady a bit, and I thought she was going to put me on hold while she contacted the driver. A co-worker had come into the office and sat down, so I started bitching about FedEx to him, and unbeknownst to me, the lady came back onto the line, apologized that she didn't actually have me on hold, and was going to do so now after listening to my conversation.

It seems as if they will be going back to get the package (if it isn't long gone already), and bring it here where it belongs. If they had just delivered yesterday, maybe they would've gotten it to the right place.

/double rant

If they have it on the truck, yes. Why put it on the truck without the intention of delivering it? With this whole tracking online thing, that could be misconstrued as false information, because as far as I knew, it was coming today.

FedEx has generally been awesome for me. I get packages from CA to Texas in less than 48 hours.

I currently have some parts coming from NewEgg in New Jersey. According to the tracking, the package has been sitting in the New Jersey FedEx facility for over 24 hours. Agh. Its good to know the 20 other parts for my build arrived in two days, but the motherboard is sitting in New Jersey.

It did not say "Not scheduled for Delivery" next to it being on the truck?

FraudEX is hell! I know what you mean, I've had UPS deliver a package a day or two earlier even though I've paid for a longer shipment timeframe.

The other day UPS left a note on my door saying i was available (which i wasn't) and they would try the next day for a 2nd attempt. This package had some important documents so it had to be signed for. I waited around in the 2-5pm timeframe they checked and the guy never showed up. I checked the website later that evening and found that they had delievered to the apartment complex office at 545pm. WTF didn't he knock on my door first?? And they left me no note saying it was delivered to the office...just expected me to know I guess.

They put it on the truck (in case) they get time to deliver it "if" they finish the other scheduled deliveries first.

Same thing happens to me.. but for the past two years. Lazy ass fedex drivers never wants to take the elevator up to my apartment. Luckily newegg makes up for the delayed two days with fast order processing.

If it is on the truck, he will deliver it unless it messes with him meeting deadlines for other packages. The reason he didn't come by in the morning with it is because it is not express and before you say well he was here already, if he did it every where then his express deliveries would be late.

I just had a package delivered a day early. It was on the truck today but wasn't scheduled until tomorrow. It all depends on the load he has and if he can fit it in.

By your logic, it said "On FedEx vehicle for delivery".

The estimated delivery date is a procrastinating measure. If they put it on the truck for delivery, and mark it as being on the vehicle for delivery, then it needs to be delivered. Plain and simple.

if it makes you feel better (and i know it will, considering it's me talking), regarding an order i placed at amazon, the tracking information tells me that the "carrier was notified to ship package" on july 15. it was expected to arrive between the 25th and the 27th. today's the 27th. no go. two days ago, when i realized that an order i placed LATER was already delivered (with detailed tracking information), i emailed amazon and asked them what the deal was. they refused to acknowledge there was a problem and told me to contact them if the package still hasn't arrived by the end of today. well, morons, if it's still at your shipping facility, it's not going to be arriving at my doorstep by the expected delivery date, will it?

I use fedex seldom, but my last box I sent to NY was totally smashed. This was a stereo receiver packed tight. They sent the box back to me, and it looked like it was ran over by a truck. Smashed. So I put in a claim. What a joke that is. Things you should know about fedex and insurance: First, regardless what you value it at, fedex will only pay for its "proven" value. So if you send a stereo, they destroy it in shipping, you better have your original purchase receipt. They will say it was worthless if you have no "proof of value". Then, they act like YOU packed it wrong. Even though it was smashed like a bug, they try to blame YOU. Then, if you do find your proof of value, you have to fill out forms. lots of forms, long forms, to start the process. Not pretty.
So BEWARE! If you value your box at $200, and have no proof its worth $200, you'll get nothing.
I don?t know, but UPS may be as bad?

Not in the least. It's all just silly arguements, we'll forget each other even exists after a couple more months of trolling in our own respective posts :).
