Now you've wobbled and turned the northern hemisphere away from the sun!!!!
:(

Hey look at the pretty colors of the trees.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's caused by the tree killing its own foliage.

But I was sweating and miserable.
The gods gave you AC and the ability to switch that little dial to a setting of 65.

But Fall is such a wonderful time.
Yeah? Dookies (college kids) now crowd into my favorite bars and restaurants making them unpalatable. And I will go to work and leave work in the dark until December 22nd (when the days begin to grow longer), and to that, falling back an hour fools no one.

But we have football now and baseball season (not counting post season, the Reds don't either) is over.
OK. You got me there. But I don't have to like this cold weather, pale skin, and my boys shrinking every time my feet hit the cold tiles in the bathroom every morning. And my college team better not embarrass me any more. (Losing to Troy State? What were you guys smoking before the game???)

Heh, the earth's tilt is the same but its relationship to the sun is changed by its position in orbit.

earths rotation causes day and night.

/waiting to hear from that one guy who will say "oh but the earths tilt does change .00000000024% a century"

:p

God also gave you the ability to switch that little dial to a setting of 65 or 75 or whatever your preference. :D

Besides, it's easier to make you dress up to keep warm than to make me dress down to keep cool. ;)

From this website:
What season we are experiencing right now depends whether we are tilted closer or farther away to the sun. During winter the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun. When it is warm in the summer, the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun. Summer and winter are labeled below.

I was right!

The Earth's axis are tilted. Therefor, as it orbits around the sun, the surface of the Earth exposed to the sun changes.

The Earth's rotation causes day and night.

Boy, am I glad we don't go through spring/summer/fall/winter everyday. :p

Yes, you are correct the Earth's tilt causes the seasons to change. But it is the Earth's orbit around the sun that causes the Earth's tilt to change in relation to the sun.

Yeah, and no more girls wearing bikini tops as bras or evening wear.

Ever heard of the "freshman 15"? That's where girls (and guys) pack on the pounds because it is cold and wearing all those clothes hides the lard.

Bah, humbug to artifical heat!! I want some more summer days to make up for all those cold, wet, rainy days we had this year.

Revolution = 1 rotation. It would still be incorrect. The only way it would be correct is if you referenced the sun in the sentance, I suppose.

ummm...
the earth revolves around the sun <= revolution
the earth rotates on its axis <= rotation

Also. the earth's tilt is fixed.... the tilt of the earth in relation to the sun is not fixed though.

They don't pack on the pounds because of the cold, they pack on the pounds because they discover the buffet style cafeteria on campus.

Ah, those were the days. :)

Yeah, guess you're right. Revolution would be correct. Not sure what I was thinking.

And I said that. It is the Earth's orbit that causes the axis to tilt in relation to the sun. :p

Wait.. why is this bad again?
