damn windows

I was planning on getting to sleep early tonight. I was also hoping not to reinstall windows for a while (I haven't re-installed once since I first built this system in mid-August). It all ended tonight.

Why can't microsoft make a version of windows which is compatible with my stuff and doesn't constantly screw itself up? aargh.

Win2k Isn't an option right now, since drivers for my dsl modem haven't been released for 2k yet.


And now it's 3:30, my sleep schedule will be screwed up for the next week, and I'll have to reinstall a bunch of programs tomorrow. fscking wonderful.

I just had to install windows myself.

Efficient Speedstream 3060. There are beta drivers released, but they don't work correctly in win2k (at least not any of the 3 times I've tried them).

i'm windows have been install when i built my system back in march
it is rock solid
only have few crash because on win98se shutdown problem.
got the patch for it in end of march, and have not crash the computer ever since

I finished lastnight. Stupid HD got a bunch o bad sectors and had the drive replaced. Wasn't as bad as I thought though, had plenty of time to prepare for the swap. The drive was shipped 5 days late (was only supposed to take four, but took a total of 9!!). All in all, can't say it was painful. Good luck.

hehe, there was a period where I basically reinstalled *everything* every 3-4 weeks because it would go nuts.....damn, in the end it got so trivial that it was almost pathetic

My old Craperon 300 used to be like that...things have been very different since the new system.

Yep, unfortunately. It was cheap, I was dumb, mistakes were made. If I had the money, I'd buy an external, but that'll have to wait.

yo guys you should really make you self a recovery cd
it reinstall windows and all your software and games in 10 minute.
save alot of time
