Damn it!
I'm redoing me personal website (kind of a personal/family resume homepage) but I can't think of a good webdesign!
Each family member (4) would have about 4/5 very similiar sites with lists/tables what projects he/she worked on ...

I don't claim to be a professional webdesigner but why is it so hard to create a decent/nice webdesign for a private homepage while it is far more easier to create one for a web portal / big commercial website? I guess it's because you have less content ... ?
I have 2 quite good designs on my computer for a portal like website (I made them when I was learning a bit about asp) but I have no clue what i should do now ...

Just try to have a plan before you start. Try to create it as an image, then recreate it as a site. Thats what I do at least. Definitly easier than making it up as you go along.

That's exactly how I do it too (I love Photoshop for that!) but I#m sitting here and I don't have a CLUE what I should do ... ?
No idea! Nothing! Frustrating!

Give it some time, work on it. A bit of creativity is all it takes.

Dial up is ok if you are a subscriber.



Anyway . . . back to web site design . . . it depends on your wants. What are you trying to say? What's the point? Who will see it?

Creativity is a big part of it . . . if you're not feeling creative, sometimes, it just takes a simple program (FP2002 or a "free" web template) to put everything down ("on paper' so to speak). As it takes shape, you may be able to "visualize" what you want (and then re-do it later the way you want). A "blank" page is the worst . . . just get started . . .

Creativity is 90% persperation/10% inspiration. :D (misquote ripped from someone)
