Perhaps the older photos were taken with the snazzy photo mode, which being prerendered, they can jack up the AA and depth of view?

yikes... all those jagged edges and plain reflections on the windows make it look like gt4 on the ps2 if not worse.
the environment is definitely better though.... but still nowhere close to gt:hd.

development pics and videos should not be taken seriously

look at the prototype videos for PS2 and PS3. now give me one game in PS2 that looked like the PS1 FF8's dance scene in Real Time, and also, I'd be amazed if we can see a game in PS3's lifespan that renders real time graphics that rival the stupid Killzone 2's video shown in their 2005 E3

Here's hoping it looks better in motion :)

I don't get how some developers can make games look so good and other can make them look so shoddy...I mean, don't get me wrong, I program games as a hobby myself, and a lot of things can happen to hamper performance..but nowadays, when graphics sell games (sad or not) you'd think they'd try harder.

I completely disagree that graphics sell games...most of the top selling games such as GH2, Sims, any Wii/DS games, etc, arent exactly graphical powerhouses. Gears of Wars was, but it was also a damn good game.

But anyways, Forza 2 is 60fps, so it will likely look damn good in motion.
