Damn, we need more movies about people with guns vs. people with swords/bows.

Seriously, how many times have you fantisized about a little platoon of well armed special forces vs. a vast army, perhaps plucked out of the 16th century? How cool would that be? Envision hundreds of swordsmen rushing a machine gun nest, or a few marksmen vs. scores of archers. That is EXACTLY what it's all about.

Heh, I was watching the Alamo, thinking the same thing...

(Yep, just give me 2k rounds & my AR15, & my sniper rifle, I could have made a difference...)

You could watch a video of the inside of a slaughterhouse and have an experience that would be about as suspenseful and enlightening.

What would be interesting would be a movie about the Zulu wars against the British. Yes, I know it's been done, but a new view of this, with state-of-the-art cinematic techniques, would be really cool.

Spearmen taking down trained armies with cartridge-loading rifles? That would be great to see.

You mock me and yet you agree that the Zulu movie was great. I'd forgotten about that one, but that's pretty much in line with my thinking. A small group of guys with rifles vs. lots of people who don't care much about dying!
that is a pretty sweet idea, I would want catapaults and trebuchets involved as well!
Hell yeah, and rpgs to take out walls!

they should make an FPS where you're a SWAT/SAS/whatever-badass-militarily-armed-group-you-can-think-of and time travel back to some other time and have to finish the game only w/ the ammo you came with.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why my brother stopped watching Stargate Atlantis: every week they fire a clip or two on full auto, when they're cut off from resupply from Earth. It's obviously done to look cooler than 3-round bursts, but it's almost as unrealistic as everyone in the galaxy speaking Canadian English 🙂

Closest I can get is Shogun: TOtal war with the early type guns vs tons of samurai.

Guns = teh lose.

Otherwise, the only movie I can think of is Timeline, but they fvcked that up good.
