duke can be beaten. Our defense is really jelling right now. If we can contain the rest of the team, and let Battier and Williams get their points, Duke is beatable. Our offense is there. If we can keep Gadzuric out of foul trouble, we'll be okay. Earl will be a warrior and lead this team as best he can.

Oh yea, so hows NC State doing in the tourney :p

late.

every year, same sad story
overrated team, talks of championship and domination... result: nada.
ranked #1 in '98: lost in Elite8
ranked #1 in '99: lost in finals to supposedly undermatched UConn.
ranked #1 in '00: lost in sweet16
ranked #1 in '01: ???

Don't be surprised to see Duke go down. They have a good chance, but it's by no means certain.

That is definitely the longest lasting dynasty Dirf, but I think it was a bit easier to win back then since only 16 teams made the NCAA's.

BTW, what happened in 1974? ;)

Hint: Someone cracked on the team that won that year earlier in this thread.

in 74 UCLA won the 3rd place game. But they came back in 75 to be champs again. :) Don't ask what happened after 75 because nothing happened until 95 :p

I don't think UCLA's gonna win, I don't know, our team is too flaky, though they do play up/down to the competition's level (usually). I like Arizona for some reason.
