I came home after being gone all day, realising I forgot to turn my BitTorrent off, and saw I've uploaded 5.4GB today 🙁

My isp allowed like 3GB upload a month and it's only the 4th. Anyone ever have to deal with an ISP when they wonder if your running a server? I have a feeling there gonna cut my net off 🙁
 
I have Azureus set to stop seeding when a 1:1 ratio is reached. Maybe you should try something like that.
 
call them, tell them that your machine was accidentally exploited, and you have since resolved the problem. ask them to take that into consideration before instituting the cap.

there's an upload cap in canada, metalmat. i think it's for sympatico?

yeah sympatico and rogers both have it for resedential customers.
 
When I lived in sweden and had mine 10/10 Mbit/s I went over my current cap treefold or even 6-7 fold per day. I'm so glad I'm moving back soon. As soon as I get a job.
