Aaaaaaaaaaah....I see. Thanks. Yeah, that is scratched to sh1t, isn't it? What did you use? 200-grit paper? Hahah. Idon't know how people get that honest "mirror" finish. I've lapped two heatsinks with 1600-grit wet sand paper (used it wet) and it was smoooooooooth to the touch, but no mirror-shine.

Use rubbing compound and then turtle wax. Works like a charm.

Buff with rubbing compound. Might not be worth it with a P2 300 though.

Rubbing compound as in "rubbing compound ala Turtle Wax?" Never heard of that one, but it does make sense. The stuff takes out minor imperfections in the clear coat...dont' see why it wouldn't work.

Heck, I've got like three half-full bottles of the stuff at home. Maybe I'll put a mirror polish on everything.
