Got back from teh dentists office.

Damage... $3500...

4 wisdom tooth need to be taken out. 3 of them have come out straight but 4th is crooked. Reason to take the 3 out, food gets stuck there, she could see food particles in there. She knew my brush wasnt reaching there. The 4th one is in a slant, and is only partly showing.. but its in an angle.

2 cavities.. need to be filled.

2 places in between teeth where they got to fill it with some enamel.... is this necessary.. its not in a visible location..

32 teeth need purification.. though my teeth are good but they said my gums are weak. I dont bleed from them. They say its a procedure that costs 400 dollars and insurance wont cover it. Its some deep cleaning stuff.. i got to be bleached and wrinsed and then hung out to dry.

There are other stuff like knocking me out twice (thanks to the oral surgery etc etc).

After insurance covers I still pay $1500.. DAMN!

All that insurance I pay ... and I sitll have to pay so much .. what can I do as a student..

I signed up for the "oral cleaning (external) " but that is due Jan 23rd.. I think I will call back and see if I can have the cavities filled then too. Then later come back for the rest.. after all cavities should be coverd by insurance..

The wisdom tooth really dont bother me .. expect when food gets stuck around the back and I have to run a finger in to free it.

For 1500 dollars I can fly to india (1000), have it all done and come back and still spend lesser than what I would be spending here after insruance kicks in.

You could use a water pick to remove the food. Much cheaper, and far less intrusive than having them yanked out. Really the only reason to pull wisdom teeth is when your mouth doesn't have room for them and they wreck havoc on the rest of your teeth. Not because they get food stuck in them.

Personally, I'd seek a second opinion.

Or go down to mejico :)

Not so sure I'd want to fly to India to have my teeth knocked out of my head.

Nationalized medical and dental care is a must. Get money out of health care and get doctors who care about people not their wallets. Vote Democratic.

That's BS. If your wisdom teeth aren't bothering you then leave them. You can always use dental floss. Why pull out perfectly good teeth? The one that's crooked should be no big deal, either. I have a molar that grew out at a 45 degree angle many years ago and I still have it.

2 cavities? Not all cavities need to be filled. For small cavities, my dentist just keeps an eye on them at each visit to see if they are getting bigger. If/when they're big enough, he drills and fills.

The 2 teetn that need enamel, I'm never heard of that.

Likewise with the purification, never heard of it.

You didn't go to one of those chain dental clinics, did you? I think you should see an independent dentist for a second opinion.

and he drives a Ferrari 360 Moderna.

That's because he's taken out a lot of wisdom teeth that don't need to be taken out.

Ouch!!! I got 4 wisdom teeth removed 2 years ago. I think the total bill my mommy paid was like $150 or maybe $200 and that included medication and all that. Whoo hoo for Canadian "free" health care :D

The reason he's driving a Ferrari is because he's performing unnecessary procedures. Get another opinion. You can probably get away with just having the 2 teeth filled.

well the 3 wisdom tooth arent bothering me..

at one time the one of the right (there are two on this side, upper and lower) had to be ground down. Our family friend noticed that I was having a hard time eating.. so he took me to his office and ground it down (ground the two teeth a bit) so I wasnt biting my cheek. Since then there has been no problems.

I knew I had wisdom tooth for years (my dentist in india knew about it too) and he didnt do anything about it.

The thing is that I think this place caters more towards cosmetic dentistry.. making sure everyone's teeth are pearly white and look really good etc etc. I guess thats why they want to make sure that whole "fix the gums" with some "irrigation" ..

come on this is my teeth not a farmland..
