I had my IBM Deskstar 75GXP 30gig for about a year now and I have seemed to have escaped all the problems other people were having with them. Today I try to load Unreal and the HDD starts making a scratching noise. So, I went out and bought 100 CDR's to back up all my stuff and and can't even burn anything, it keeps making the scratching noise when I try to burn and I get an under run. I can't even install any new programs. This really blows!. Guess I am going to have to RMA it!!!
BTW... does anyone know if IBM is giving out the 60gxp's for RMAs? And does anyone know how long this takes?
