It sounds great until you realize that Chrome OS is terrible.

Chrome OS is about as bad as Windows RT. Good for web functions and NOTHING else.

I think the same way. BTW beautiful laptop. Who cares if the design is the same as Apple. As long as it can run Windows8🙂.....if that happens?

Except that often these other OSs don't actually give you access to the full web. For example, Netflix isn't supported on Linux. (Yes, I know there are clumsy workarounds.) Even if ChromeOS works something out for Netflix, there's always going to be some less used site that they don't think of.

I think it's best to view these things as the new generation of netbooks. At $300, they're not meant to compete with laptops, but more with tablets. In that respect they provide a lot of the same media consumption ability but with a more traditional UI. I also think that if these things sell well enough (and they appear to be doing quite well), I expect that services like Netflix will make sure that they function on one.

How is it copying apple? Did apple invent the first notebook with 4 slightly rounded corners and a 3 degree angle wedge shape? It doesnt even have the same angle, and it is significantly more curved on the Z plane.

I don't think making a notebook smaller counts as some genius-level design innovation. Just saying.
