I'm playing with one in the computer labs and its pretty cool....no match for the explorer in terms of usability though....Apple still has only ONE BUTTON. I thought it had some type of sensors or something for the buttons, but it really is just a big button...Steel sleek nonetheless.

Yeah, it's an awesome mouse, but even lots of Mac types end up buying two-button mice. Single button mice are just so irritating, esp. since much Mac software supports the right-click option.

It is a much better mouse than the hockey puck, but I still don't even put it on the same level as my original PS/2 mouse. The button is too easy to depress and the clear plastic show dirt way too easily (campus computing lab use). Seems that Apple has again sacrificed usability for style. Also, what's with the cube? Come on Apple, laptops have more expandability options than that substance devoid styling masterpiece.

We just got them in my computer lab too. Really cool looking mouse, unfortunately I find it skips every once in a while, making the cursor bounce to the other side of the screen. Still, the red laser in the bottom is great for shining in people's eyes. :)

Do these schools just give apple their bank account number and hope some shiny colored plastic "supercomputers" end up on their doorstep.

Gunbuster: Tell me about it. We also just got some dual processor G4's, and 6 dual monitor setups to use as video editing stations. That must have cost a pretty penny. Schools just love Macs, I guess its because they've always used them and don't want to risk trying anything new.
