I just recieved a call telling me that I was "approved for my mastercard with a $5k limit" and he wanted to confirm my address before he sent it, I then asked "where did you get my information". He responded in a weird whispered voice saying "shayydup" and then hungup...😕

Shens! 😛

It was Zim calling. He was scamming you for more  money!

Rumor has it that Zim is going on the waggon next year and that a worldwide recession will result from it!

To the OP: A scam. Fvck the scammers! 😱

If they are confirming the address by reading it to you and having you agree that it is correct, it's likely a legit (read: not a con) offer.

That doesn't make it anything less than annoying, however.

Now, let me tell you what I like to do what that happens. Here, a transcript:
[Telemarketeer]: Am I speaking with <NAME>?
[Me]: .... (Short, 5-second pause) He's dead.
[Telemarketeer]: (Trying to make excuses) Oh, oh, I'm terribly sorry, and I..
[Me]: (Interrupting) Yeah, that's okay.
[Telemarketeer]: Okay, okay, have a nice evening, sir.
*CLICK*

Works everytime 🙂.

Like chickens pecking to death a weak or injured member of the flock, we are constantly looking for a beloved patriot in the armor.

Do chickens really do that?
