Just got back from the ER...
I was going to be doing a roll in bed liner on my truck today and was washing the bed out. I was pulling myself up into the bed and the bumper was slick from the water. My foot flew out from under me and I hit my leg on the side of the tailgate. A second or so after it happened, I felt a pain in my leg and looked down to see a 1.5" gash in leg from the tailgate. Basically all I could see was fat from my leg poking out, so I put my hand on it to stop the bleeding. I grabbed a towel and it just so happens my dad had come over today to help me with the bed liner. I yelled for em and he asked "what ahppened?" and I took my hand off and blood squirted all over my legs and shoes. (DAMMIT, now I gotta get blood off my shoes!)
He drove me to the ER and I had to get 8 stiches. As they were cleaning the gash, they were using irrigation fluid on it and it went up my shorts.... looked like I pissed all over myself! :|
Anyway, I just home and went out to lookat my truck to see if I had to clean up any blood. The tailgate didn't have any blood on it, but it had a piece of skin with some of my leg hair attached. NASTY!
Anyway, they said I have to go back in 12 days to get the stiches out.
This sucks.... I won't be able to get my bed liner put in before winter and I will be hobbling around for the rest of this week.
