was suppose to get a package on tuesday, but due to some stupid "exception" they had to deliver it yesterday. supposedly the stupid driver just leaves the package at the door and left without getting any signatures or anything. now the package is nowhere to be found. fvcking fedex.
 
Heh, UPS is notorious for leaving packages without a signature. But today, they decided not to while I was in the bathroom! Maybe I'll pick it up in the evening.

Still hoping that FedEx comes by soon with my Newegg next-day delivery. 🙂

Usually, you should contact the merchant to file a claim with the carrier. But if this was a private party sale or other type of shipment, you can handle it directly by calling 1-800-GO-FEDEX.

Call their phone number 1800 Go-FEDEX and try to track a package


say your tracking number is "ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, banannaaaphooone" untill a live person picks up, then give them the number, their system is MUCH more detailed than the public.
 
luckily fedex actually decided not to drop my package off. I was pissed tho, since the truck it was on wasn't back when I got the the shipping center. Gotta go up there again today...X2 here I come!

it says signature not required. but i would have expected buy.com to request something like this
 
you definitely need to call Fedex and ask them where the package is.
the package is probably sitting at the local office waiting for you to pick
it up
 
Check with neighbors or if you live in an apartment, check with the office to see if they dropped it off there.

Sometimes if FedEx doesn't get an answer at the door, they just leave it with a neighbor.

Of course, sometimes they just leave it and let it be your problem.

  • Guess I should be happy to have Buy.Com's free shipping either way, but what good is it if FedEx can't come through? They managed to deliver two packages to my front door yesterday, no problem. Today, tracking says a package was delivered at 1:45PM to the front door. My boys and I have been here all day, and nobody but the mailman has been here. I contacted FedEx and a CSR told me it says it was supposedly delivered, and she'll contact the driver and phone me back. I've NEVER had this trouble with UPS.

    WTF, he just delivered a package only yesterday. HTF could he screw up today?

    I've frequently had packages show up as delivered before they actually arrive (multiple carriers).

    Give it a while, the driver will likely show up.

    It was listed as delivered at 1:45PM and it is currently 6:30PM. I've looked at least once per hour, but no dice. Shoot, how are these issues resolved, and how long will it take? I ought to drop this in Buy.Com's lap instead of fretting about it myself.

  • Package just arrived, but I didn't see the driver. Tried to check the tracking info, but I got this:

    We are unable to connect you with our server. Please retry later.

    Oh well, guess I'll let them live...
FedEx has the worst GD tracking of anyone. Slow, inaccurate and generally useless!
 

  1. May be stolen, may be still on the damn truck. Certainly can't base your conclusion on FedEx' lame ass tracking system!
 
FedEx sux @ss. They can't even find my place, and the manager of the local office claims the driver for my town has been driving there for more then two years. So screw FedEx at least UPS can find my place.
 
People want signatures and some people don't. Can't satisfy everyone... I just don't like how the carriers might leave the packages at an apt door as people will come by and snag it. In my apartment complex there are a lot of kids and "shady" people. I always fear other people taking my packages.
