ok...so the problem is relational to Azerus (bit torrent client)
any time i leave azerus running the machine locks up...it usually takes about an hour-2hours...and only happens when azerus is running
when it locks up, the screen freezes...cant move mouse, do anything with keyboard, etc...but you can sitll see everything that was on the screen. the network connection drops (i know because my streaming audio will quit) i dont think it's the machine overheating because i've got MBM running and the temps look fine...

the machine DID do an update to my java VM the other day (azerus is java based) and i didnt have any problems before the update...but then again the problems didnt start occuring directly after the update...that was about a week ago, the problems started about 2-3days ago

i ran a checkdisk on the harddrive that my torrents run/save to...no problems found

can you guys/gals think of anything that could be causing the lockup?
i'm trying to reinstall and older version of java vm, but having problems :/

Two questions:

1. Can you uninstall the Java update via Add-Remove Programs?

2. Why are you running a Bit-Torrent client on a server? 😕

1: i removed the most recent update...currently seeing if the problem will re-occur
2: it is a file server...i use it to download all my files and share across the network 😛

rebate: too much of a hassle...on top of that it would hurt my gaming on this machine...the server doesnt do anything else so i might as well use it for torrenting..

anywho...i uninstalled the update...did some windows updates, etc...and it's still giving me problems :/
edit:
i checked event logs...nothing out of the ordinary

i removed some torrents and the problem stopped. very very weird, lol. apparently there was a bad one in there somewhere :/ oh well, problem solved ^_^
